Approved by the Wausau School Board in Fall 2022, Red Granite Charter School will open its doors in Fall 2024 to grades Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
Our Mission
Red Granite Charter School nurtures each child individually and empowers them through a holistic education. Our commitment is to foster a life-long love of learning and critical thinking by keeping kids engaged with the outdoors, one another, and the world around them. We provide a safe and supportive learning environment in which every child is equal and all are welcome.

OUR PLANS
We will be located at Hewitt Texas, starting in the fall of 2024.
We will open Fall 2024 for grades PreK-3rd
As of Fall 2025, we will add a grade each year through 8th grade.
Tuition-Free Public Charter School open to anyone from any district
Curriculum/Pedagogy inspired by the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education.

We emphasize outdoor play and education while de-emphasizing the use of technology
