RED GRANITE STAFF

  • Katelyn Landerman

    Principal

Red Granite Charter School and Hewitt-Texas Elementary School

I am very excited to be a part of two amazing teams and help support our students, educators, and families.

I attended Saint Norbert College for my undergrad and studied Elementary Education and Early Childhood (birth-5th grade).  I completed my masters in Educational Leadership and Policy from The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and I have a Principal and Director of Instruction licensure.  I recently completed year eight of being a kindergarten teacher at Weston Elementary School in the DC Everest School District and year six of being a summer school principal.

In my free time I like to spend time with my friends, family, and love to downhill ski in the winter at Granite Peak.

I cannot wait to meet and get to know everyone!!

  • Caitlyn Fosterling

    Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

I am so excited to be part of Red Granite Charter School! I am originally from Antigo, I have been living in Wausau for a few years now.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special education at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Since I graduated, I have had many different roles in the Wausau and Antigo School District. I have been a substitute teacher in kindergarten through fourth grade, I had the amazing experience of being an EL teacher, and last year I had the opportunity to teach first graders in a general education classroom. I have learned so many things in every teaching role, and I have loved teaching the students about my interests as well.

I have my own little library and love reading, crocheting, and painting!

  • Lindsey Jensen

    Kindergarten Teacher

I'm thrilled to embark on a new journey as the Kindergarten teacher at Red Granite! With a passion for holistic education and child development, I bring over ten years of experience in education. From Early Childhood Special education through first grade. I have experience teaching while utilizing unique educational approaches such as expeditionary learning that takes learning beyond the classroom and immerses it in real-world experiences.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education.

Outside of the classroom, my family and I spend an extensive amount of time outside fishing, camping, and simply exploring, which fuels my creativity and connection to nature — qualities I eagerly integrate into my teaching practice. I am also an avid cook. I love experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes for my friends and family!

Something interesting about me is that I will be joined by my two sons at Red Granite! One going into first grade and one into 4K! I am so excited to be on this new journey with them!

I look forward to fostering a nurturing and imaginative learning environment at Red Granite, where I can aim to ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning in every child I teach.

  • Morgen Severt

    First Grade Teacher

I will be the First Grade teacher at Red Granite Charter School. I graduated in the spring of 2023 with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.

Throughout my college experience I always said “someday I will be teaching in my dream school” which is exactly what Red Granite Charter School is for me. During my college experience, I was fortunate enough to gain experience at a Waldorf school, and was amazed at the Waldorf educational philosophy.

This is my second year teaching with the Wausau School District and I am so thrilled for what year two entails. My previous role within the district was as an elementary science teacher. I worked with students grades K-5 at two elementary schools and loved sharing my passion for science with all of my diverse students.

Being a part of the inaugural year at Red Granite Charter School is my dream job come true. I cannot wait to share my enthusiasm, energy and love for learning with my first grade class at Red Granite Charter School.
