FAQ

  • RG students will be entering and exiting the building via door #8. Red Granite pick up and drop off will be located on the side of the building near the playground where staff will direct them inside.

  • All vehicles (cars and bus) will drop off from from 8:15-8:30 AM daily. RGCS will have an slightly earlier pick up time of 3:15 - 3:25 PM daily to avoid congestion during end of day pick up.

  • RGCS and Rib Mountain are two separate schools that share the same building. While each school will offer its own unique instruction and experiences, they will use some of the same common spaces. You may notice some overlap during the day in areas like hallways and restrooms, but classroom learning and instructional time will remain separate for each school.

  • There will be no shared programming outside of Fire Drills, Evacuation Drill and other drills of this kind.

  • As two schools come together under one roof, students and staff may see each other throughout the day. While instructional time will remain separate, both schools will share common spaces like bathrooms, hallways, the playground, and the health office. It’s natural for students to cross paths in these areas or while moving between them, and we look forward to creating a positive and respectful shared environment.

  • Yes, RGCS has four designated classroom spaces within the building.

  • RGCS will have their own separate administrative and teaching staff. Staff will work collaboratively with Rib Mt. staff when needed or in emergency situations.

  • As RGCS shares a building with another school community, some spaces will naturally be shared. While RGCS has its own designated classrooms, students will also use common areas such as the bathrooms, playground, and gym at Rib Mountain. We're excited to create a respectful and cooperative environment for everyone in the building.

  • At this time there is no collaboration planned in regards to special events, celebrations and/or community-building activities. All events will be coordinated via a school-wide calendar with events occurring on different days.

  • RGCS will be involved with all safety/emergency protocols and drills in the same way Rib Mt. is involved.

  • RGCS will utilize the same platform as the WSD for communication on a day to day basis.

  • The existing teacher lounge will be available for staff from both RGCS and Rib Mountain to use. While most professional development and training will be separate, both schools will come together for building-wide expectations and safety training to ensure a cohesive and safe environment for everyone.
