FAQ

  • RG students will be entering and exiting the buliding via the main entrance. All students will enter and exist the building in the same way.

  • All vehicles (cars and bus) will drop off from from 8:15-8:30 AM daily and pick up at 3:30 - 3:40 PM daily.

  • PreK hours will function as follows:

    - Morning Program: 8:30am - 11:05am

    - Afternoon Program: 12:55pm - 3:30pm

  • RGCS and HT are considered two separate entities and will function completely separately.

  • There will be no shared programming outside of Fire Drills, Evacuation Drill and other drills of this kind.

  • Students will not spend any time together. RGCS students will eat lunch at a different time than HT students. Restroom intersections are likely to occur coincidentally.

  • Yes. All three rooms which will be utilized by RGCS are clustered together at the beginning of the hallway. The only shared spaces will be restrooms and the gym/cafeteria. Lunch times will be conducted separately. RGCS students will spend as much time as possible outside.

  • RGCS will have their own staff. They will hire their own teachers and they will have their own administrative staff.

  • No. At this time there are no plans for collaboration.

  • RGCS will have its own classrooms. The only areas where RGCS and HT may overlap are the bathrooms, outdoor spaces and possibly the library. The library schedule is still being determined.

  • At this time there is no collaboration planned in regards to special evens, celebrations and/or community-building activites. All events will be coordinated via a school-wide calendar with events occurring on different days.

  • RGCS will be borrowing many policies from the WSD as it is part of the district. RGCS does focus on mediation versus punishment and practices sustainable education practices and RGCS teachers are trained in trauma based therapy and mediation.

  • RGCS will be involved with all safety/emergency protocols and drills in the same way HT is involved.

  • RGCS will utilize the same platform as the WSD for communication on a day to day basis.

  • The existing teacher's lounge would be accessible to both schools (RGCS and HT). Teacher training will be separate. Teachers are welcome to eat together if this is feasible.
